Crunchy Bacon Bites

These crispy, crunchy morsels are perfect for when you want a salty snack. They are made of just one ingredient and are easy to make.

I recommend using regular bacon, not the thick-cut stuff, as they just come out better, but if you really want to, you could use thick-cut or even sliced pork belly. If you use sliced pork belly, you may need to add salt.

You can make these in an air fryer, convection oven, or traditional oven. I recommend cooking them until the bacon is fully cooked. When you’re ready to eat them, you can pop them back in the oven at 450 degrees until they are super crispy.

Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pack or 1 pound of Bacon

Directions: 

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Fold each strip of bacon over itself to create a square shape and place it on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet flap side down.
  3. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
  4. Flip each bite and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  5. Let cool for 5 minutes.
  6. They should be crispy and crunchy. If they are not, try air-frying or broiling for an additional 3-5 minutes or longer as needed.

This simple yet delicious recipe is so easy to make. If you are having trouble getting the nuggets crispy, you can try baking them on a cookie cooling rack or sir fryer basket. Make sure to put a baking sheet underneath to catch the drippings. These drippings can also be saved to cook with to add yummy bacon flavor to any dish.
