🧈 Butter Mayonnaise 🥚
Butter mayonnaise is a wonderful base for dressings and sauces, and it’s great in dishes like chicken or egg salads, and it tastes just as good, if not better, then store-bought mayo. You may have heard that fat is unhealthy, but in reality, it’s an essential macronutrient that helps keep you functioning at your best, especially if you’re not overdoing the carbs. Butter and eggs provide the healthy fatty acids your body needs, making this homemade mayonnaise a more nourishing choice than many store-bought options.
One of the biggest benefits of this recipe is what it leaves out: highly processed vegetable and seed oils. Those oils typically undergo harsh processing to be made edible, and they’re prone to oxidation, which can trigger a variety of health concerns. By skipping them altogether, you get a creamy, rich mayo that you can feel good about enjoying.
Use this butter mayonnaise to whip up garlic aioli, caramelized onion dip, or ranch dressing. Slather it on burgers or sandwiches. However you like your mayo, this version lets you dig in guilt-free!
