Everything You Need to Know about Calorie Tracking Apps 📱🍎✅📅❤️

  1. Click the “Download Now!” button and proceed to download the proper version for your device.
  2. Create an account
    • This will enable the app to keep track of your past entries and custom settings.
    • Answer the questions that are required and skip the optional ones.
  3. Customize the apps settings
    • Adjust your goals
      • Make sure you are logged in and click “More” in the bottom right corner of the app
      • Click “Goals”
      • Then under “Nutrition Goals” click “Calories, Carbs, Protein and Fat Goals”
      • Click on “Calories” and change the calories goal to match your results from the macro calculator.
      • Click the check mark to save your goal.
      • Now click “Carbohydrates” and adjust your macros to match your results from the macro calculator.
      • Click the check mark to save.
    • Stop the app from tracking your steps
      • Click “More” in the bottom right corner of the app
      • Click “Steps”
      • Select “Don’t track steps”
        • If you don’t do this the app will adjust your calories depending on how many steps you take, this has already been accounted for in the macro calculator
  4. Now you can start logging everything you eat and drink
    1. Keeping track will help you know if you are eating the right amount and the right kinds of foods.
  5. Once you have a few days logged review the data
    1. Did you hit your macro goals?
    1. Did you hit your calorie goal?
    1. If you didn’t hit your goals, what will you do differently?
  6. Continue tracking and adjust your eating habits as needed.

Pro Tips:

  • Try using My Fitness Pal on your computers browser to:
    • Help you plan your meals (it may be easier for you then on your phone)
    • Download detail reports
    • You can use My Fitness Pal to figure out how much of a particular food you need to include in a meal to hit your macro per meal goal.
