🧀 Crispy Parmesan & Cottage Cheese Chips: A Guilt-Free, Low-Carb Snack 🍽️
These parmesan and cottage cheese chips are super low-carb and are a fantastic dip delivery system. You can even make miniature hard-shell tacos with them!
Cottage cheese chips have been all the rage online recently, and that is where I discovered this recipe. However, I have modified the original recipe by adding parmesan cheese to give the chips more rigidity, and I make them in the microwave for convenience. The original recipe calls to bake the chips in the oven for forty minutes, then rotate the pan and bake for another forty minutes. Who has the time to make only nine chips every hour and a half? That’s ridiculous. With this recipe, you can make eight chips in under ten minutes.
The only equipment needed to make this recipe is a microwave and parchment paper.
When placing the dollops of cottage cheese on the parchment paper, use your finger or another spoon to remove the cottage cheese from the measuring spoon.
You will know the chips are done when they have dried out and started to turn light brown. If you want to use the chips as mini hard-shell tacos, fold them over or put them in a taco shell holder before they cool.
These chips are best eaten fresh.
These parmesan and cottage cheese chips are delicious on their own, but they are even better with the everything bagel seasoning. You can customize these chips with your seasoning of choice, but beware, cottage cheese can be salty on its own, so if you choose to use another type of seasoning, try to use one with less salt so the chips aren’t too salty.
Each microwave is different, so you may have to experiment with cooking times. Start with three minutes and then check them for doneness. If they are not done, continue cooking one minute at a time and check for doneness between each run.

Parmesan and Cottage Cheese Chips Recipe

- 1/2 cup of cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup of shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon of everything bagel seasoning
Place a cutting board on the counter.
Cut a piece of parchment paper that will fit laying flat in your microwave and place on top of the cutting board.
Place 1 tablespoon dollops of cottage cheese 2 inches apart on the parchment paper. You should be able to make approximately 8 chips.
Flatten and spread each dollop of cottage cheese to the size of a half dollar using the back of a spoon to form the chips.
Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of parmesan cheese on top of each chip.
Sprinkle some everything bagel seasoning on top of each chip.
Using the cutting board to support the parchment paper, transfer the parchment paper into the microwave.
Microwave for 4 minutes.
Check the chips for doneness. You will know when they are done when the chips are dry and have started to brown.
If they are not done, microwave for one minute at a time until the desired doneness is achieved.
Remove from the microwave and let cool for 5 minutes and enjoy!
